App purpose
Athenaeum is a social PDF eReader designed to keep readers engaged and focused. It helps users import PDF books, organize them into collections, customize the reader with multiple themes, and track reading sessions, streaks, and progress.
Athenaeum includes friend stats, leaderboards, AI summaries, and AI project suggestions for project-based learning. Google sign-in is used to create an account for optional cloud sync, social reading features, profile features, premium billing, and AI reading assistance.
The purpose of Athenaeum is to provide one reading app for PDF books, notes, study help, social accountability, and synced book progress across iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows.
Google Sign-In and data use
Athenaeum uses Google Sign-In to authenticate your Athenaeum account and connect optional account-backed features such as cloud sync, profile settings, friends, leaderboards, Premium status, and AI study tools.
When you sign in with Google, Athenaeum may receive basic Google account information such as your email address, name, profile image, and Google account identifier. Athenaeum does not request access to Google Drive, Gmail, Contacts, Calendar, or other Google files or services.
Google account information is used for authentication, account identification, profile display, security, support, and the Athenaeum features you choose to use. Athenaeum does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
Athenaeum use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
